this book, a collection of poems from 1983-2006, is a profound travel guide to places visited by the author, who was inducted into the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature hall of fame in 2000.

The book shares not just the sights, sounds, stories and feel of the places but the fondness for home and country that grows with each day spent away from it.

I agree with Eileen R. Tabios' review of the book - "These poems attest to an admirably dogged insistence on making poetry part of everyday living. many can be savored for their gentle lyricism and lovely imagery."
